I discovered this book tag through the blog Rums the Reader and thought it looked like a lot of fun. I’m not sure who the creator of it is, so if you do, let me know in the comments!
Let’s get right into it!
Have you ever damaged a book?
I’m sure I have, although it’s never been intentional. Even when I was a kid I refused to write in or dog-ear my books. I’ve always considered books to be precious.
Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?
No, at least not that I can think of. When I borrow something from someone I’m going to try my best to take care of it, especially if it’s a book!
How long does it take you to read a book?
Not too long. I’m a pretty fast reader, so as long as I have time to read I can usually finish a 500-page book in a day or two.
Book that you haven’t finished?
There’s not a single book that I haven’t finished, but there is a series. I read the first of three volumes of Outlaws of the Marsh, and I fully intend to read the next two. I just don’t know when I’ll get around to it.
Hyped or popular books that you didn’t like?
These are all books that were super hyped up, that I really did not like. Click the links to read my reviews:
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
- The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand
- Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
- Echo North by Joanna Ruth Meyer
- The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick
Is there a book you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?
I’m not sure. Maybe some smutty romance? I tend to be really open with what I’m reading though.
How many books do you own?
Oh my gosh, I have absolutely no idea. If I had to make an estimate I’d put it at somewhere between 400 and 600.
Are you a fast or slow reader?
Fast. Not as fast as my mother was, which was mind-boggling (she could read three or four books in a single day and retain everything), but I can finish a medium-length book in a day or two.
Do you like to buddy read?
Yes, yes, yes! It’s not something that I get to do very often, but when I have buddy read books in the past I’ve loved it. It always makes reading a more intimate and special experience.
If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?
The Lord of the Rings. It’s a long, epic fantasy series, and I’ve already read it multiple times and have always loved it more and more each time.
I always go back and forth on whether or not I want to read Silver Linings Playbook. Good to know it didn’t live up to the hype for you!

The main reason I couldn’t get into it was that I didn’t think the mental illness rep was any good. It was difficult to read.
